Mrs. Angela Formby

Angela Formby graduated from Weaver High School in 2000 with an Advanced with Honors diploma. After spending ten years working in pharmacy as a certified pharmacy technician, she graduated cum laude with honors, earning a Bachelor's degree for secondary education (6-12) in English Language Arts (ELA) from Jacksonville State University. She went on to earn her Master's degree in Library Media Science (P-12), graduating summa cum laude also from Jacksonville State University. Additionally, while in her Master's program, she was the recipient of the 2017 Library Media Student of the Year award from Jacksonville State University as well as the recipient of the 2017 Library Media Student of the Year award from the Alabama School Library Association. She has won several grants for the Indian Valley Library Media Center and was awarded The Extra Mile award by her colleagues in 2018, the Golden Apple Award in 2019, and the Super Citizen Award by her students in the same year. She is currently in pursuit of her EdS in Library Media Science and is an active board member for the Alabama School Library Association.
